We Hope Your Dining Experience was Enjoyable
As any restaurateur or chef knows that a patron's pleasant dining experience can lead to referrals of family members, friends and business associates. Many restaurants will provide survey cards to be filled out with the tag line "We hope your dining experience was enjoyable" printed across the top of the survey card. This favorable sentence across the top of a survey card may be a subliminal message to the patron or it may be sincerely heartfelt. I know from personal experience that an enjoyable dining experience at the Primland Resort is not just a hope, of Executive Chef Britton Saylor and his staff, but it is a mission.

If you are looking for fine dining in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia look no further than Primland Resort. Executive Chef Britton Saylor is a master of several styles of cooking and offers a variety of specialty dishes.
An example of a meal that can be enjoyed at Primland Resort would be: 1st course: Basil Grilled Shrimp with Prosciutto di Parma and a Mango-Honey, Lime Relish. 2nd course: Spinach stuffed Venison with Butternut Squash Spaetzle, Sugar Glazed Turnips, Haricots Verts and Kumquat Confit. Enhancing the entrée nicely would be a 2005 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from California Winemaker Beringer. Sonoma County California's Knights Valley has volcanic well-drained soil that is perfectly suited for producing outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon wine. 3rd Course A Study of Domestic and Imported Cheeses, Candied Pecans with Fresh Fruit
After such a dining experience the answer to the question "we hope your dining experience was enjoyable" would be a resounding "Yes!"

Prior to becoming the Executive Chef at Primland Resort, Britt Saylor spent many years perfecting his skills at Noble's Grille in Winston-Salem North Carolina under the watchful eye of noted southern chef and restaurateur Jim Noble. Saylor, a Winston-Salem native, also spent time at the private Roaring Gap Club in Roaring Gap North Carolina as well as Cuvee in New Orleans. The culinary skills that Saylor acquired along his journey to Primland make a visit to his dining room a truly enjoyable dining experience.
With the completion of the 72,000 square foot main lodge at Primland in the spring of 2009 will bring some additions to your dining experiences at the resort. Saylor will be offering cooking classes to guests in the currently under construction two story kitchen. The offering of cooking classes will not only allow guests to experience first hand Saylor's skills as a chef, but also his magnetic personality. Britton Saylor truly loves his position as an Executive Chef but also immensely enjoys sharing his craft with others who want to know more about cooking.
Whether you simply enjoy a meal in the dining room or partake in a cooking class, I'm sure you will agree that when asked, "we hope your dining experience was enjoyable" your answer will be "yes it was!"
